New York City Diva Watch-

Plaxico Burress and Jeremy Shockey are casting kittens again at the New York Football Giants training facility. Burress let this kitten fly from his hand regarding his relationship with head coach Tom Coughlin, "I feel that me and him can be a little bit more player-coach related as far as laughing and joking and things like that. He is one of those guys that doesn't take jokes real well," Burress was quoted as saying "We are working on that." Huhwhat? What the hell is the wrong with this lollygagger? Holy Hannah Rose!

As for Shockey, well that diva spilled his drink in front a group of reporters a couple of days ago regarding quarterback Eli Manning: "(Bleep)! I wish he would throw me the (bleeping) ball.” Apparently he gave himself a concussion on the first bleep which I assume was Bushwa! or Hooey!. Shockey’s relationship with Manning is as rocky as a freshly poured scotch sitting in front of me.

The fantasy football implications of these quotes are little. These two divas have been acting like high society birds for years and when it comes down to the business of playing football they’ll get the job done. This reporter is getting sick of the fits thrown by these footballers while they’re flouring their faces to get ready for the season. It is this reporters opinion that they both need to go to a juice joint and sit down next to my good friend and New York insider Sideways Charlie for a few hours. They’ll leave the bar looking as green as my lawn and never would cast a kitten again.

Chiefs Trade for Running Back Bennett

Speaking of NFL divas, the Kansas City Chiefs just made a trade for running back Michael Bennett. The Chiefs plan to have Bennett back up fantasy football colossus Larry Johnson. While I’m a big advocate of drafting the backup to Larry Johnson, I can’t tell you that Michael Bennett is worth the time of day. This emotionally fragile dewdropper lacks confidence, willingness and talent. His self confidence is likely to shrivel up into nothing watching that horse Larry Johnson show what a Real McCoy lollapalooza can do. I watched Michael Bennett up close during his five year stint with the Minnesota Vikings and I’ve never been more unimpressed by a running back in my life. This man suffers panic attacks on the field more than any other runner in NFL history. This guy is also a plain Jane fake. There is nothing to him. Every interview he's ever had he flashes a fake smile then pours some clichés into the glass. In Minnesota he expected to be treated like he was the bee’s knees, as if he was Robert Smith, who is the greatest running back in Minnesota Vikings history. This part-time Johnny’s best runs take place when he’s running off the field.
